Welcome to aislinnpaula!

C360_2015-05-02-19-23-16-918Hey loves! Welcome to aislinnpaula. Thank you for stopping by! Whatever got you here, I’m glad to have you. Enjoy my posts about my little adventures around New Jersey & New York area (for now), fitness journey, fashion, food, and random contemplation about life. There are thousands (maybe more) blog sites out there and you are probably wondering what aislinnpaula is and how it came about. I have been wanting to start a blog since forever. There were two or three blogs I attempted to create before aislinnpaula. The first time was when I thought I should do a fitness blog where I could share my fitness journey; maybe a fashion site to show different outfits and trends that could inspire others; or maybe, a site exclusively dedicated for my reviews on places I go to (restaurant, cafe, etc.). None of those ideas pulled through only because I kept deleting them down. Every time a friend of mine or someone I know finds my blog, I get embarrassed and end up deleting them. I didn’t feel comfortable for people to read what I had to say about certain things. Obviously, I got over that and started aislinnpaula.

So why now? Why start again? Why call it aislinnpaula? All those times I struggled figuring out what I wanted to do with a blog. What kind of blog posts would I do? Who are my target audience? What do I want them to get out from my blog and what do I want to get from it? I have to be honest. Up to this point, I’m still trying to find my own voice. My previous blogs didn’t pull through because I was trying to be someone that I’m not. I’m not a fitness enthusiast and not a fashionista either. My fitness journey lacks consistency and my fashion sense is a hit or miss. That’s when I finally came up with aislinnpaula. That’s me, that’s my name. I named my blog after that because I want this to be about me and my journey/experiences. I want this blog to serve as a platform to introduce myself to people, to the public. This time around, I’m here with complete honesty. I’ll post whatever I want, however I want and hope to inspire others to just be true to themselves. That’s my goal here, to stay true to myself. Having aislinnpaula inspires me to go out there, explore, and experience different things so I can share them with all of you. Things that I wouldn’t even do or pursue otherwise because I would rather stay home and watch a movie or something. LOL In all seriousness though, if my posts inspire you or make you think about certain things in your life, then aislinnpaula succeeds.

My blog has different sections according to your topic of interests: adventures, fashion, fitness, food, and self-growth & random realizations. Here’s what to expect from each one:

ADVENTURES: It is what it is. I want this section to serve as my diary about the places I go to and/or things I do. I want to be able to look back to these posts and be able to bring myself back to that certain moment of my life. For my beloved readers, I want to inspire all of you to try to experience the same adventures. We only live once right? Let’s take as much adventures and trips as we can and create amazing memories out of them!

FASHION: Like I said previously, my fashion sense is a hit or miss. I don’t have a certain style to share with all of you or maybe I don’t know exactly what my style is. My fashion sense is mostly inspired by my mood. One day, you see me rocking a dress with gorgeous pumps then see me the next day wearing t-shirt, shorts, and rocking my Jordans. As long as an outfit makes me feel pretty, sexy, and want to take gazillion selfies, then I’m all about it. This section is simply where I will be sharing my #ootd’s and #ootn’s. I am also looking forward to attending fashion events that we can all talk about.

FITNESS: I am forever in my fitness journey. I have a dream body in mind that I want to have eventually but the lack of consistency keeps me from achieving it. My blog’s fitness section is about this journey I have been in for so long hoping that it will keep me accountable. I may not know too much about fitness & nutrition but I do a lot of research and speak to a lot of people from the fitness industry. Whatever knowledge I gain from doing so, I promise to share them with all of you. If you have questions about certain things about fitness and don’t feel like doing the research, let me know and I’ll do that for you.

FOOD: Who doesn’t like food?! I love trying new food places and writing reviews about the food, the place, and their service. I will be featuring local food places around New Jersey and New York. Cafes & dessert places are my favorites but I plan on trying restaurants and even food trucks. Expect an honest review from me and if I know I can’t be totally honest (when I know the owner or I know someone who knows the owner), I will let you know as well. One thing I get really frustrated about is when I don’t get what I paid for so I want to give you guys an insight before you go and try any place around the area.

SELF-GROWTH & RANDOM REALIZATION: Ahhh. This section can get a little too personal and a bit dramatic. This is where I open up and let everyone in my life and in my head. I tend to lie awake at night thinking about my life, the life I want to have, things I should’ve done, things I want to do, people in my life, my insecurities, and all the other stuff. I have to warn you that my posts here can get really deep. It scares me a little bit because this is where I make myself vulnerable. But that’s the beauty of it. Once I finish writing about whatever it is, it’ll be a weight off my shoulders and I’ll be thanking all of you for being there. 🙂 ❤

I hope that sums it all up. Hover over the menu on top of this page under “Thoughts About” to check out my blog posts. I also included a separate page for my upcoming journey with Red Light PR and my Lookbook and Polyvore sites (which are still in under construction). On the right hand side of my website, you’ll find how to connect with me via Social Media and the follow button to subscribe to my blog. I wish you all the best in life loves and I hope to hear from all of you! See you around!

Lots of love!
