Hey there loves! Happy Tuesday! I hope that you like what you see on my blog site so far. If there’s anything I should change or add on my site, please please please let me know. I am always open for any constructive criticism. As you all know, I am very new to blogging but I am doing my best to keep you all updated. If you haven’t read What is aislinnpaula about?, hover over About aislinnpaula and click on my post to read about what you can expect with my blog site.
Today, I want to show you what’s inside my make up bag. I am not too well-versed with make-up but I’m trying to play around with them, try different things, and actually find what fits me. You’ll see, in a second, what I have so far. I never (well almost never) step out of my house without my make-up on, not because I have something to hide or anything. Make-up just makes me feel pretty and put together and in control. I don’t put toomuch make-up on because I don’t wanna look too far from how I look without it. There are times where I put less than what I usually do to eventually get used to not having it on. This is my daily make-up routine.
After I shower, I apply my acne medication and my moisturizer (stay tuned for my post about my skin care). Then for my face cover up, I use L’Oreal True Match Mineral. I am not a fan of liquid foundation. It clogs my pores and always makes my face break out. I would only use it for special occasion if necessary. By using powder mineral, it gives me that polished look without doing any harm on my skin. It doesn’t make my face look too “pasty” (for lack of a better term) and shiny.
My cheeks are next! I use Bare Minerals Love Radiance powder blush. It has a little shimmer to it that gives me that radiant shine without making me look like a clown. It definitely blends well on my face.
After my face and right before I work on my eyes, I apply a little shimmer under my eyes and right below my eye brows. I use Bare Minerals Eye Color Queen Phyllis Matte. It is actually the base you apply before you put eye shadows. But so what? It works perfectly hiding my dark under eyes and highlighting my brow area. 😉
Eyes and eyebrows are next! Thanks to my friend Ana for introducing me to NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Pencil. I simply use the brush and the pencil back and forth to do my eyebrows. I have very thin and light eyebrows and I look like I don’t have any without my brow pencil. They’re not perfect. Brows are probably my weakest area when doing my make-up. I can definitely do so much better with them. Practice practice practice.
Last but not the least! My eyeliner. Can’t really go out without them. I’ve been a loyal fan of Avon’s Glimmersticks Waterproof Eyeliner. I have been using it ever since I started putting make-up on. Not only that it is cheaper than others but it does last longer. I am trying to not use it too much but I’m not used to seeing myself without an eyeliner. There are times where I used a mascara instead but I still didn’t feel complete.
Featuring NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream Copenhagen. I don’t usually wear anything on my lips on a daily basis, only on special occasion.
